In some fishing villages living along the coast of Japan, there are amazing groups of women known as ' Ama. ' These women worked and are still working as Ama in Japan. The word ' Ama ' means ' women of the sea or sea women. ' We know they are independent divers. They make their living by diving as well. 

They can dive to the depth of the sea more then  25 meters. As well as  they dive without using oxygen tanks or other breathing equipment at all. The Ama divers rely on their own skills and breathing techniques as well. They use that skill and technique to push themselves down to the bottom of the sea and back to the surface again. And we know they can hold their breath for up to two minutes.

Careful watching, lung capacity, and hunter instincts are the special qualities of Ama divers at all. However, some of these young villagers are going to the city for finding other jobs. The remaining Ama divers are now aged more then 50. 

And you know there are still some who continue to dive even at their 70s. If the young people do not take up Ama diving, we thing soon this profession will die out.

we know a wheel is a circular object. And It can rotate around its axis and help easy the movement of things across a surface. The wheels are, in fact, everywhere in the world. They are on our cycles, bayck, cars, trains, planes, wagons, and so on. 

Besides, they are on most factory and farm equipment as well. Fans, propellers, and turbines are also other types of wheels over the world. So the wheel is very important in our life. It’s made our life easy. As well as we cannot imagine modern life without wheels. In fact, do we know exactly who made the first wheel?



Sultan Mahmud

History of Sultan Mahmud

Sultan Mahmud, son of Subuktagin was born in 971 AD in India. He began to attack India in 1000 AD. The quick wars were against Jaypal and other kings of Punjab. In 1008 AD, he won a high victory over Anandapal, Jaypal's son. 

It is mentioned that he led 17 campaigns in India. Of the Indian provinces he defeated, he retained only the Punjab in India. He died in 1030. Twenty years after his death, a new Muslim kingdom grew up in the hills of Gour. 

Soon after, a war broke out between Ghazni and Gour in which Ghazni was captured and burnt. A little later, in 1173 AD Sultan Giasuddin of Gour annexed Ghazni and Kabul and placed them in charge of his brother, Mohammad of Gour. He took Multan and Sind He has taken Lahore in 1186. 

Four years after capturing Lahore, he first attacked the Gangetic basin. As he advanced towards Delhi, he was met and defeated by Prithviraj at Punjab, but Mohammad returned the very next year.



Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born on July 18, 1918, in the tiny village of Mvezo, on the banks of the Mbushe River in Transkei, South Africa. " Rolihlahla " in the Xhosa language literally means " pulling the branch of a tree. . " but more usually translated as " troublemaker. " Nelson Mandela was two nicknames. " Madiba & Black Pimpernel. 

From his boyhood, he saw the cruelty of the White people to the black ones. At that time, the White people would bait the Black people. It was unbearable for little Mandela.

He was becoming actively involved in the anti-apartheid movement in his 20s. Mandela had been joined the African National Congress in 1942. For 20 years, he had directed a campaign of peaceful, nonviolent defiance against the South African government as well as its racist policies.

For this, he was confined on Robben Island for 18 of his 27 years in prison at 46. In 1993, Mandela was South African President F. W. de Klerk was jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts to dismantle the country's race-hatred system. In 1994, Mandela was founded as South Africa's first black president. In 2009,

Mandela's birthday (July 18) was announced as " Mandela Day " to promote global peace and arrange the South African leader's legacy. He died at his house in Johannesburg on December 5, 2013, at age 95.




History of Nakshi Kantha

Nakshi kantha is a kind of embroidered quilt The name was taken from the Bengali word, ' naksha ' which means artistic pattern as well. It is a kind of traditional craft and is said to be indigenous to Bangladesh and Kolkata in India.

The art has been practiced in rural Bengal for centuries. The name ' Nakshi kantha ' became popular after the poet Jasimuddin's poem ' Nakshi Kanthar Math ' was published in 1929 in Bangladesh. Traditional kanthas are made for family use and old or new cloth and thread are used to make these quilts. 

Jamalpur, Rajshahi, Faridpur, Bogra, and Jessore are the most famous for this craft as well. Now it is produced commercially. You can find them in many expensive handicraft shops in the village. The quilts are now in great demand because of the colorful patterns and designs embroidered on them as well.

Thousands of years ago in the world, the first pearl was probably discovered while human beings were searching for food at the seashore. Throughout history, the pearl with its shine has been one of the most highly valued gems in the world.

Pearls have been mentioned in religious texts and mythologies from the earliest times. As well as, the ancient Egyptians valued pearls so much that they were buried with them. History said that the famous queen of Egypt, Cleopatra, would dissolve a pearl in a glass and drink it as a sign of love and respect for the entire nation. 

The Greeks considered the pearls a sign of wealth and social position.
The beauty of pearls was associated with love and marriage in society. In ancient Rome, pearls were thought to be the greatest sign of wealth and social status. 
At that time, the tenders aged women of noble families loved to wear beautiful pearl necklaces. The brave knights used to wear them in the battles for good luck as well.
