Street hawker

A man who sells colourful things by moving from street to street is a street hawker. He is a very common and popular figure in our society. His importance is great in our society. He is very sociable clever and open-minded.  School-going children and women are his main customers as well. He usually lives in a small hut or in a slum. He usually puts on a peculiar dress of different colours. He carries his goods on his head or in hands or by a small van. He makes a peculiar sound to draw the attention of his customers.

He usually sells toys, dolls, bangles, ribbons, cheap ornaments, cosmetics, sweets, fruits, utensils etc. He moves from door to door or street to street. He usually sells his goods at bus stands, at railway stations or launches ghats. He sells his goods at a cheap rate. He knows his business time very well. He tries to tempt his buyers at any cost.

He usually goes to his customers house at their free time. He works restlessly from morning to dusk. He leads an ordinary life. He lives from hand to mouth. Sometimes he cheats with his customers. Sometimes he takes higher charge from his customers. Sometimes he sells adulterated things. Yet he does many things for our betterment. We get many things for him sitting at home.

A School Library

School Library

 A library is a part and parcel of every educational institution. There is a rich library in our school. Our school library is full of with educative and textbooks. It is a well-decorated library. There are 5000 books in our school library. The students have identity cards to get into the library. There is a big reading room in our school library.

There is an expert librarian in our school library. Students come to the library during off periods. The librarian helps us reading. We read different kinds of text or story books in the library . It needs be , we take books to our house showing the card. I spend three hours daily in the library. Teachers also spend time here. We always keep it neat and clean.

Library plays an important role in the education of students. It helps to acquire knowledge. Our library also helps us in acquiring knowledge as well. We are proud of our school library.

 A Visit to a Historical Place

Visiting a historical place is a part of education. It helps us to improve our knowledge. It widens our outlook. It gives us joy and helps to remove monotony. Last month, I got a chance to visit Shat Gombuj Mosque. My uncle invited me to Bagerhat.

I went there with my elder brother. We went there by bus. We started our journey at 6.30 am. We reached there at 10.00 am. Reaching there we saw the grave of Khan Jahan Ali, the founder of Shat Gombuj Mosque. Khan Jahan Ali built Shat Gombuj Mosque in the middle of the 15th century. We saw many crocodiles in the tank there.

We stayed there almost 4 hours. We met many boys and girls coming from different schools and colleges. I gained new knowledge and a new experience from the new place. The mosque has 77 domes. It has also a vast prayer house The structure has a tank too. Somehow, the visit was very interesting to me. will never forget this visit.

 

Tree Plantation

Tree plantation means planting more trees. Trees are very important to in many ways. Trees, soil, water and air are the important elements of the environment. Life is impossible on the earth without trees. Trees are our real friends. Trees are very essential to any living being. So tree plantation is a must for our own sake.

We get oxygen from trees. Besides, we leave carbon - di - oxide which inhales it. Trees prevent air pollution. They prevent river erosion and soil erosion. They help our farmers to grow better crops. Trees play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance. Trees add beauty to nature. We get various fruits, foods, wood, shade and flowers from trees. We get many valuable medicines from the leaves, barks and roots of trees.

But we destroy this life-saving element on a large scale. We cut down trees for housing and cultivable land. Besides, we cut trees for wood. We should not cut trees for our existence. We should plant more and more trees as well. June and July are the best time for tree plantation. We should make people conscious about trees. The government also should take necessary steps in this regard.

A School Magazine 

School Magazine

A school magazine is a publication of a school and is published twice a year.  Written, edited and published by the students. It is a mirror of a school. It is very important for the students. A school magazine is a part of education.

A school magazine plays an important role in developing the latent talent of the students. It helps to develop their power of writing. It teaches them to work unitedly. It also teaches the teachers to be friendly. It widens the students outlook. At first, a magazine committee is formed to publish it. Generally, the headmaster is made the president of the committee. The editor invites writings from the students and teachers as well.

The students and the teachers submit their writings. Then the best writings are collected properly. Then the best writings are sent for publication. One copy of magazine is given free to each student and teacher. It is published twice a year.

Traffic Jam

Traffic jam is a long line of motor vehicles on a road. It is a daily affair both in towns and cities in Bangladesh. Population explosion is the prime cause of this severe problem. Reckless and careless driving is also a great cause of traffic jams. Overtaking tendency and violation of traffic rules are also principal causes of this problem.

An insufficient number of traffic police is another cause of traffic jams. It hampers the normal life of the city dwellers. Traffic jam hampers the studies of the students. It creates a chaotic situation in the street. It hampers the normal movement of the ambulance and fire brigade as well. Students cannot go to school in time because of traffic jams.

Even people cannot go to the office in time as well. To remove the traffic jam, traffic signals must be improved. Strict traffic rules must be imposed. More traffic police must be employed on the important points. Spacious roads must be constructed.

Public awareness must be raised. So the government might take necessary steps in this regard. We also should make the people conscious in this regard.

 Load Shedding

Load shedding is one of the major problems in our society. Load shedding is the suspension of electricity for a short period in a particular area. Load Shedding is now acute in our society. But it is very acute in industrial and rural areas. The causes of load shedding are many in our society. Maybe Less production of electricity is the root cause of load shedding.

The illegal connection of electricity is another root cause of it. Illiteracy is mainly liable for this severe problem as well. Population explosion and social unawareness are also responsible for this problem in Bangladesh. So it is a curse to us. Load shedding hampers production in mills and factories seriously. It also hinders our agriculture. Load shedding disturbs houses, offices, shops, banks and clinics.

It hinders our social and national development. The students sit idly closing their books. To remove this problem, old power - plants must be replaced. Illegal connection must be stopped. Illiteracy must be removed from society. People must be aware of using electricity. The value of honesty must be taught as well.

A Book Fair

A book fair is a place where books are sold and displayed. A book fair is a source of knowledge for man. It is a source of education too. It is a huge gathering of students, teachers and educated people. Students, teachers and educated people visit a book fair to buy books and enrich knowledge.

Every year many organizations organize a book fair. Bangla Academy organizes a book fair every year on the occasion of the International Mother Language Day on its compound. Besides, the famous publishers also organize a book fair. Hundreds of book publishers and booksellers take part in the book fair. The stalls are sit in rows.

Sometimes writers and poets come to visit the book fair. A book fair helps to broaden our kingdom of knowledge and helps to promote cultural attitudes. Last year I went to a book fair with my elder brother. We went around the whole vast area of the fair.

Men, women, and children of all classes gathered in the book fair. I bought many books from the book fair. Every student and every educated person should visit book fairs to broaden their knowledge.
